No Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake

This is a popular English cake!

Ingredients:
Almonds and walnuts- 1 and 1/4 cup or 175 gms - roasted and chopped.
Butter- 113 gms or 1/2 cup- room temperature- cut into small pieces,
Chocolate semi sweet - 115 gms- the cocoa content should be 45 to 50 %,
Digestive biscuits- 115 gms or half packet.

Method:
 Chop the nuts with a knife.
In a heat proof bowl, placed over a saucepan of simmering water,melt the chocolate and butter.
Break the digestive biscuits in small pieces ( 1/2 inch ).Chop the nuts.

Once the butter and chocolate are melted,remove from heat and stir in the biscuits,along with the crumbs and nuts.



Spread this mixture into a lightly buttered into a 9 or 8  inch tart pan.
You can pat it to make the surface even.
Cover and put in the fridge  for several hours to set. 
Cut or break into slices.
Store in a container in the fridge.
These are delicious crunchy chocolate bites.
All the good things combined into one.
You can have it as a dessert or a snack.
