Meat ball kofta curry

Ingredients for kofta or meat balls :
Minced lamb meat - 500 gms ,
Onion - 2 tbsp ( medium -finely chopped ),
Egg -1 ,
Bread crumbs -1/2 cup ,
Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp ,
Salt 1/2 tsp ,
Corinader leaves - 2 tbsp ( chopped ),
Oil -1 tsp .
Ingredients for gravy :
Dry spices - cloves -4 ,big cardamom -2 ,cinnamon stick -1 ,bay leaf -1 .
Onion- 3 ( finely chopped - 2 tbsp for koffta ),
Tomato - 3 ( chopped and pureed ),
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp ,
Coriander pwd - 2 tsp ,
Cumin pwd - 2 tsp ,
Red chilli pwd - 1/2 tsp ,
Turmeric pwd -1/4 tsp ,
Cashew - 6 to 8 ( soak in warm water and grind it to coarse paste ),
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp,
Salt to taste , 
Oil -2 tbsp,
Water - 500 ml -2 cups.
Method :
Take a bowl and put minced meat and then add the above kofta ingredients .Mix and cover  and  keep in the fridge for 1/2 to 1 hour .
Take out and make golf size kofta or meat balls.
Pre heat oven to 200 C .
Cooking time 25 minutes .
Put foil in tray and grease it with oil .
Put the meat balls on the tray leaving some space in between.
Sprinkle dash of oil on each ball .
Transfer tray to oven and let  it cook till brown spots appear on the meat balls ( 25 minutes ).

While the meatballs are in oven we will make the gravy .
Heat oil in pan and add the dry spices .
After 1/2 minute add the finely chopped onions .Raise the heat and stir fry till onions are light brown .
add ginger garlic paste .Fry for 1 minute ,add the powdered masala with little water .
lower the heat and fry the masala till oil leaves side .
Add cashew paste and fry for 1/2 minute .
Add the pureed tomato .Mix and stir fry till oil leaves side .
Add 500 ml water and salt .
Mix and cover with a lid .Let the sauce boil and then lower the heat Let it cook for 5 minutes .
Take out the meat balls from the oven after it is slightly brown .Spoon each  meat ball and drop it in the gravy .
 Spoon any oil if in the tray, to the gravy .
 Let it cook for 20 minutes on low heat .
Sprinkle garam masala pwd  and close after 2 minutes .

Garnish with green coriander leaves .
Serve with plain rice and green salad .
Makes 18 meatballs .
