Coriander Chicken

Ingredients :
Chicken  breasts  -500 gms ( bone - in, cut in pieces ),
Coriander leaves with stem - 100 gms ( a bunch ),
Coriander seeds - 1 and 1/2 tbsp ( roasted and crushed ),
Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp ( roasted and crushed ),
Green chilli -2 ( chopped ),
Green chilli -2 (  slit in the middle  ),
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp ,
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp ,
Turmeric pwd - 1/4 tsp ,
Oil - 1 tsp ,
Yogurt -1/4 cup ,
Salt to taste ,
Water - 1/4 cup .
Method :
Chop coriander leaves with stem and grind in grinder with 2 green chillies and 3 or 4 tbsp of water.
Roast coriander seeds and poppy seeds seperately in a tawa or pan and then grind them 
 coarsely in the blender with little water .
Heat a heavy bottom pan and add 1 tsp oil.
As oil heats up add cumin seeds .
As cumin browns add  the coarsely grounded coriander and poppy seeds .
Stir fry till water evaporates and then add ginger garlic paste .
Stir fry  for  20 seconds then add turmeric pwd  till the paste is evenly browned .Add the green coriander chilli paste .
Stir fry till till the water evaporates and then add the chicken pieces ,slit  green chillis and salt .
Lower the heat , mix and the put a lid on .
Let it simmer and cook for 20 minutes .
Stir once so that the chicken pieces are evenly cooked on both sides .
Raise the heat and add yogurt .
Let the yogurt evenly coat the chicken pieces .After a minute add 1/4 cup water and let  gravy come to a boiling point .Cover and let it simmer for a  minutes in low heat .
 Close gas.
Taste salt .
Coriander chicken is ready .
Enjoy this green wonder with hot rotis .
