Methi moong dal

Ingredients:
Moong dal or yellow lentils  - 75 gms - 3/4 cup ,
Methi leaves or fenugreek leaves - 50 gms ( chopped ),
Dried red chilli - 2 ,
Cloves -2 ,
Cumin seeds -1 tsp ,
Ginger - 1 inch ( sliced or chopped ),
Turmeric pwd -1/4 tsp .
Salt to taste ,
Water - 1 cup,
Oil or ghee -1 tsp .
Method :
Soak dal for 10 minutes and then put  in  cooker with 200 ml of water ,1/4 tsp of turmeric pwd and salt to taste  .This dal consistency is thick so dont put too much water .
Put the cooker in high heat .Close the gas after one whisle .
Open the cooker lid when cold and if the consisitency is thin put the cooker on gas for few minutes  to thicken the daal .
Heat a pan and pour 1 tsp of oil or ghee .
As  oil or ghee heats up add cloves and cumin seeds and broken red chillies .
As the  cumin seeds brown add methi leaves .
Stir fry the methi leaves in high heat for 1 minute and then transfer the contents  of the pan to  the cooked moong dal in  the cooker .
Put the cooker on heat again .
Add chopped ginger .
Mix and let it cook for 1/2 minute and then close the gas.
Methi moong dal is ready .
Serves 4
