Cinnamon muffins

Ingredients :
All purpose flour or maida - 200 gms ,
Brown sugar - 200 gms ( grinded ),
Butter - 200 gms ( melted )
Egg - 4 ,
Baking pwd - 1 tsp ,
Baking soda -1/2tsp ,
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp ,
cinnamon pwd - 1 tsp ,
Milk -1/2 cup.


Method :
Pre- heat oven to 180 C 

Sieve flour ,baking pwd ,and soda  and cinnamon pwd and keep aside.

Take a bowl and beat butter till pale and light.
 Add sugar and run the blender till sugar is blended well and the texture is light and creamy.
 Add the egg  one at a time and keep running the mixer till all the eggs are well blended. 
Add vanilla essence.
Run the mixer on low speed and add the flour mixer in 3 stages and the milk in two.
 First add one part of flour than add milk .
Than again add flour than milk and in last stage add the flour. Run the mixer in high till all is incorporated .


Fill 3/4 of the cups with an ice cream scooper or spoon. Even the mixer with a spoon and just tap the tray once on the counter so that there are no air in the mixture .
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or till you see the cupcakes are slightly brown. Insert a knife or tooth pick and to check .The knife should come out clean.
Remove from oven and take out the cupcakes  from the tray and leave it to cool on to a wire rack.
when at room temperature garnish with any topping of your choice .
I have just melted cadbury chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds and then put them in the pipping bag  to decorated the cupcakes.
Keep in the fridge.
Makes - 21 cupcakes.

  1. Hello Aunty, I made Cinamon Muffins over the weekend & they came out awesome, but i faced a problem in some of the muffins. While being baked the muffins burst from top & some amount of the paste came out. Kindly guide me what went wrong.

    1. Hello Vinnie ,Sorry for the delayed reply .i was a little busy .
      I am happy, the muffins turned out well .I am a little surprised that some muffins burst and some baked well.
      It is the temperature control of the oven or the baking pwd was not sieved and mixed properly with the batter .
      For baking you have to have right measuring cups and spoons and the dry ingredients have to be sieved before you start the process .
      If you have followed the process than your oven is at fault .For baking you have to have a good oven and temperature control is very very important .
      I am happy you baked and keep baking .
      You get to taste fresh from the oven food and it is simply amazing

  2. Hey Mom,

    I don't like the pics on this one. It's too dark and distracting. The main photo is especially bad, with that strong reflecting light dominating everything. I'm guessing you didn't take these. :)

    1. Yes you are right, even i dont like the picture and your guess is right .
      I will make fresh cinnamon muffins and then change the picture :)
