All purpose flour or maida - 2 cups or 200 gms
Baking soda -1 tsp ,
Baking pwd -1 tsp ,
yogurt - 1/4 cup ,
Lemon juice -1 tbsp ,
Crushed garlic or paste -3 tbsp ,
Coriander leaves -1/4 cup chopped ,
Water to make dough .
Method :
Sieve flour .baking soda and powder in a bowl .
Add salt and beaten curd .mix .
Add little water and make a sticky dough add lemon juice .
Brush with little oil and cover with a damp cloth and then put on lid .
Pre heat the oven to 200 C for 5 minutes and then close it .
Keep the dough bowl in the oven for 4 hrs .
Take out from the oven and you will see that the dough has risen and fermented too .
Mix a little maida pwd and make a smooth light dough .
Make big dumplings with help of flour and keep aside for few minutes .Cover it with a cloth .
Dust your board with flour and make oval shape naan 1/2 inch thick .
Spread garlic and coriander leaves .
Grease the baking tray only once and roast in batches .
Roast in the oven at 300 C till light brown ( will take 4- 5 minutes ).
Enjoy hot naan with butter chicken or malai kofta !
