Shami Kebab


Step-1
Ingredients-
Minced meat (lamb)-500gms,
Chana dal or split yellow gram lentil-1/2 katori or100 gram (soaked in warm water for half hour),
Onion -1 sliced,
Ginger garlic paste-2 tsp,
Big cardamom-2,
Cinnamon -1 stick (1 inch)
Black pepper-5,
Bay leaf-1,
Red chili-1
Salt -1 tsp.


                                                                     
Method-
Put all the ingredients of step -1 in cooker and boil it,
Cooking time 1 whisle in high flame and 15 mints in low flame.
After keema is boiled with dal and the spices ,open the cooker and check if there is broth.
Put the cooker on stove and let the broth dry.
Discard the bay leaf and big cardamom.
Let it cool and then grind the keema mixture in a grinder.


Step -2
Ingredients,
Onion -1- finely chopped,
Green chili-2
Green corriander leaves-1/2 cup finely chopped
Oil -1 tbsp.

Add all the ingredients of step-2 to the grinded keema mixture.taste salt.
Mix  well and then make  small balls and flatten them .
cover and keep in the refrigerator.


Put  tawa  or flat pan on heat and spread little oil on it . Put the kebab and shallow fry them.
turning the kebab upside once. and kebab is ready to be served.
Best eaten with paratha ,mint raitha and green salad!
